First van build I've found that is closest to what I am looking for. Now, I'm going to tell you what I want and see if you have anything that fits this bill. I don't want or need a kitchen or bathroom/shower. Those can be nixed all together. My main concerns are Bed-this one is really nice but there needs to be something to keep the pillows from falling off; Office space-comfortable seating and either a really big monitor or multiple monitors. I'm an accountant and I do a lot of zoom calls as well as RUclips videos. (Nice backdrop for the calls/videos too); dedicated space for 3 larger dogs-all pittie mixes ranging in size from 62 to 82 pounds-think kennels with removable doors but good air flow. If I have to leave them in the van with the air running, I want them protected. I have to be able to have the air running while stopped-ie grocery shopping etc. I have a travel trailer (current one is about 21 feet) and would usually have it when on trips but this would be nice while traveling or taking shorter overnight trips. It would also be my regular driving vehicle. I would want one of the taller vans so I can stand inside. I'm under 6ft though. At least a 2500. Super excited to hear your thoughts on something like this!

This is a foolish idea next time use epoxy the flex seal is great for everything under the shower for extra water proofing but horrible idea for a show wall and pan liner epoxy is the way to go. keep up the hard work.

Was there a specific type of wood that you used? Im curious if i need to use like teak wood or what you happened to use.

What size lag screws did you guys used for the studs? Im at home depot trying to find them

I think it would be very interesting to try this with spray on truck bed liner. It would likely leave a really nice looking finish too.

Awesome! That shower pan when not in use could have a custom cut foam dog bed in it!

Would be more work but…. Could have pulled osb board and blocked in where that top shelf goes for more screws.

Love your shower system. Btw, I saw another system where they recycle the shower water then filter the water since the limiting factor is "fresh water". But, it doesn't have to be if you design a rain water collection system. :)

Here's a thought: "If" you design a "rain water collection system", you will always have fresh water and you can stay off-grid for longer, in like BLM land, for example. You can mount e-bikes to the back of the van and attach a "milk crate to the front of the e-bikes so you can use the e-bikes to re-supply run in/out of town while the van stays in the same spot (saves on gas money. RE: Power, on cloudy days, if solar panels doesn't provide enough yield, research small wind turbine you can mount on top of the van ( saw on another channel). Just a suggestion. Alternate energy sources that are free. Why not, right? :)

Granted, very nice looking van, with one big flaw and one big omission: Flaw: why would you put carpet pieces ABOVE and BEHIND the stove and the "spice rack"? Anyone who actually cooks will tell you that is a big grime and grease catcher and a sure way to have it dirty and stinky in no time flat. That poor van will be stinking of rancid grease in less than a couple of months. Omission: You have a hidden shower but no form of toilet?

Great video, @biglogan3690, but I wish you'd done an "after" shot from the inside because from what I can tell, the inside might not look too great due to the fact that 1) you used white paint applied kinda sloppily on the cut edge of the opening and 2) I saw no evidence that the the cut opening on the interior has any kind of trim, so the raw edge of the cut, however neatly filed, would become the inside surface of the installation. So the window looks very professional and clean from the outside, but seems like it'd look kinda ghetto from the inside, right?

I see an awful lot of "bubbles" under the siding...

Why does that look like delam on the drivers side? How is it constructed, ie.. 2x4s, plywood, etc etc?

This is the best shower system area I've seen, open front is such a good idea!

I just came across you on here. Loving to see how I can become a retired traveler. Actually I’m disable from a disease that made me retire early from my job of 22years I still would be driving a school bus today. But love to travel so I am definitely loving your site thank you.
